A disgrace Tarantino was passed over, I guess they would have told Hitchcock to get lost, as good as it is, it would have been better with Tarantino as director and arguably they stole some of his ideas for the reboot

My favorite movies of all time. The soundtrack takes me back to my childhood. "An endlessly rewatchable bite of comfort food" is a perfect description. I still watch them for that exact reason

I did it guys! After 2 months, I have watched and listened to all video essays and podcasts! What an amazing and exhausting journey! Loving all of the call backs to previous podcasts, you make all of these sh*t shows entertaining AF. I saw this film in theaters in 2001 and remember how meh it was. There are great things in this (mostly Tim Roth and the makeup), but that ending (twist on a twist) really brings it down. Marky Mark doesn’t help as his acting is almost The Happening level which just reminds me of the Andy Sandberg SNL sketch and how accurate it was. Mark is much better in comedies where you don’t have to take his acting so seriously. The human casting is terrible. Blonde girl was there for eye candy only and even that is terrible. Listening to this does make me want to watch the newer Apes movies. I’ve only seen Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Thanks again for the podcasts!

The reason Doc and Marty know each other is because Doc put an ad in the newspaper for a lab assistant. Marty was looking for a job and answered the ad. I am thinking Marty is getting paid to work for Doc.

I re-watched this movie so many times when I was a child: perfect time to be a child. The 80’s was like a climaxing decade for movies.

Simpsons was nowhere close to as popular as you are claiming here. Futurama was meh at best. shows were decent, but to call the simpsons the best is just foolish.

Mac isn't a movie star, he isn't Evans or DJ. Of course he speaks that way, it's the only way to legitimize his new role. What I'm confused about with this guy is how he speaks about traditional roles yet accepts a job that he knows is not anywhere near source material.

The story withstanding, what bugged me most about this movie was the constant glow or halo around everything, something Spielberg and his camera dude Janusz Kaminski got into for a LOT of his movies.......

It was amazing. From the first episode to the very last. All the signs were there that that’s how it would end. Even in the very first season.

I discovered Sh#t Show a couple months ago because I’m a big Arrested Development fan. I love how deep and completionist his research is. How he puts sources at the bottom of the screen too is something I appreciate as well. It’s nice to have someone so methodically break down a production and know he’s not rumor mongering or exaggerating details for a reaction.

Phenomenal movie and sequels too. I couldn't even guess how many times I've seen them. But I can still to this day, watch any of them from any point on.

I was sleeping over at a friends house in 2005 (still in highschool) when my friend had me watch this series with high reviews... I ended up staying up all night watching the first season.. Then we rewatched it years later and finally realized the true genius of the show with some of the greatest call forwards (never thought I'd miss a hand so much) As great as it was I was sad to see it deteriorate on netflix.

That movie changed the tragectory of my life. It changed the way I thought about time as a young kid. It opened my mind up to thinking about things in totally different ways. It caused me to start simulating possible outcomes of decisions. Which led me to science. I can't imagine what I would be now had I not seen it at 9 years old.

All that hard work to fumble the ball in the end...

Yeah, this pilot was a mess, but nothing on the level of Game of Thrones: Blood Moon. A pilot so horrible it cancelled the series. Luckily House of the Dragon got it right and Game of Thrones: Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is shaping up to be a great pilot(currently shooting)
